Donna C. Skupien, BSN, RN, MBA, is Vice President, Growth & Innovation for Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She designs programs customized to meet the needs of employers seeking creative solutions to keep their workforce healthy while controlling costs. She serves as a healthcare advisor to many Tennessee-based and global employers. Before her role at Vanderbilt Health, Donna built and led a large clinical trials firm. Most recently, Donna and other Vanderbilt Health colleagues—together with Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation and Ryman Hospitality Properties—developed the Nashville Good to Go program. Good to Go serves more than 750 local businesses by providing COVID-19 updates, education, and safety and prevention toolkits. The program also produces monthly webinars with VUMC experts. The efforts of Good to Go have earned international recognition for Nashville, with the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) naming it a Safe Travels destination.
