Wes Carter

Wes Carter is President of Atlantic Packaging, where he oversees all aspects of the operation. Wes has launched a sustainability program aimed at significantly reducing plastic-centric packaging solutions and replacing them with more environmentally minded, often fiber-based options. He has also launched A New Earth Project, a coalition of outdoor enthusiasts, industry-leading brands, and innovative packaging suppliers working to create, scale, and advocate for sustainable packaging solutions to help eliminate plastic pollution from the world’s oceans, lakes, and rivers. He is an avid outdoorsman, lifelong surfer, and traveler who resides in Charleston, South Carolina. Wes is a part of The Conservation Alliance, Alliance to End Plastic Waste, Sustainable Forestry Initiative, and Carbon Disclosure Project, in addition to other local and regional organizations fighting the waste crisis. He is currently a member of The Conservation Alliance Board of Directors, Lowcountry Land Trust Board, and the UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Visitors.
